World famous French chef Jacques Pépin will be visiting Western New England on July 9th, 2012!   The day begins with a special Monday Farmers Market, First From the Field: 10am - 4pm, open to all | Behind Thornes Marketplace, Northampton, MA Sample early growing season yields from CISA members, Berkshire Grown, and other regional CSAs. Children's Cooking School will be in session, courtesy of Whole Foods Market.    Conversation and Booksigning with Jacques Pépin at the Market | 1pm - 3pm See Jacques Pépin and daughter Claudine Pépin from the KQED series Essential Pépin. Special seating for book purchasers and VIP ticket holders. Jacques Pépin's newest cookbook, Essential Pépin, must be purchased through the Odyssey Bookshop in order to get a space in the signing line and reserved seating. If you are buying Essential Pépin from the Odyssey, you may bring one additional book from home for signing. Many other titles will be available for purchase at the Odyssey Bookshop, at odysseybks.com, and at our booth at the Market the day of the event.  Ticketing options for the Conversation and Booksigning are as follows: 1 copy of Essential Pépin and 1 ticket for $47.50 ($40 + tax for the book, $5 per ticket) 1 copy of Essential Pépin and 2 tickets for $52.50   1 ticket for the conversation ONLY for $8.00 (no reserved seating or signing line spot) Please note: we have ended advance ticket and/or book sales online, but you may still purchase tickets and books at the event on Monday. Just look for the Odyssey Bookshop table by the tent outside of Thorne's in downtown Northampton. If you have already purchased books and/or tickets, you may pick them up at the Odyssey's Will Call table on Monday.  Odyssey Crime Club, Darker Than Amber by John D. MacDonald Neil Novik will lead a discussion of this month’s Odyssey Crime Club selection Darker Than Amber by John D. MacDonald. The book is available in the store and is 20% off for members.
