Deanna Cook, Baking Class Event at the South Hadley Public Library!
When: Monday, December 4th, 4:00pm
Where: South Hadley Public Library, 2 Canal St., South Hadley, MA (Community Meeting Room)
Deanna Cook will be at the South Hadley Library on Monday, December 4th, at 4:00pm demonstrating recipes from her new book, Baking Class! Kids will have the opportunity to design their own sweet treats at a cookie decorating station and books will be available for purchase at the event.
With the 50 easy-to-follow recipes in Baking Class, any kid can become a baking master - just in time for the holidays! Lively step-by-step photos teach bakers-in-training how to knead dough, make biscuits, decorate cookies, and make a perfect pie, along with essential skills like measuring flour and decorating a cake. And best of all, many of the sweet and savory recipes featured in Baking Class (such as Bursting with Blueberry Muffins, Zombie Zucchini Bread, and Peachy Keen Crumble) use fresh fruits and vegetables! Bonus stickers, pop-out gift tags, and bake sale signs encourage kids to share their homemade delights with pride.
The event is free and open to the public. Suggested for ages 6-12
Deanna F. Cook is a kids’ book author and freelance writer. She works out of her home office in Massachusetts and gets lots of help with recipe testing and crafting from her two girls, Ella and Maisie, and their friends.
