An Evening with Author Robert Fieseler at Bay Path University
Please visit Bay Path's website to register and for more information about the event.
In this free presentation open to the public, Robert Fieseler will delve into the shocking tragedy as well as the research and production process behind his book Tinderbox. An essential work of American civil rights history, Fieseler's Tinderbox mesmerizingly reconstructs the 1973 arson fire that devastated New Orleans’ subterranean gay community in what was the largest mass murder of gays until 2016. Buried for decades, the Up Stairs Lounge fire has only recently emerged as a catalyzing event of the gay liberation movement.
A Q & A session will follow his presentation.
