Come and hear our reps from three major publishing houses talk about new and upcoming releases that book clubs will especially enjoy. Mingle with other book clubs and our booksellers, and start putting together your reading plan for the upcoming year.
We'll have light refreshments, giveaways, and a raffle.
Emily Crowe, Penguin Random House
Emily Crowe has been slinging books professionally her entire adult life, including as a bookseller and buyer at Odyssey Bookshop for 2007-2018, and she joined the Penguin Random House team in June 2022. When not reading, she likes to spend her time traveling, trying new foods, and sipping cocktails.
John Muse, Simon & Schuster
John was first hired by the Macmillan/Scribner publishing group in 1985, and has been with Simon & Schuster virtually ever since. John has been on the NEIBA Board of Directors, and has been awarded the Sales Rep of the Year Award from NEIBA members. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and has a Master’s Degree from that school, and he and his wife Karen have been married for almost 40 years and they have three adult sons. John mainly reads literary fiction and the occasional non-fiction book (of any sort), and particularly he and his wife like to get out and see the world, whether it’s locally or otherwise.
Anne DeCourcey, Harper Collins
For the last 15 years Anne DeCourcey has worked with Independent Bookstores for HarperCollins Publishers. She lives near Boston with a lot of books (and her family and a dog). When not reading she stares fixedly at the weeds in her garden and hopes they’ll disappear (it does not work).
