Ella loves kindergarten, but is worried she may not be up to the latest challenge. . .learning to tie her shoes. Everyone in the class is trying to tie their shoes. As she watches her friends in class succeed, Ella begins to believe she may never figure it out. It just felt too difficult. Would Ella ever learn to tie her shoes?
Author Gina Moulton graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught kindergarten for over fifteen years, and continues to be amazed and inspired by her students’ confidence and perseverance to learn new things. Gina encourages her students to keep this sense of wonder and determination as they grow, and to focus on progress and see failures as opportunities to learn. When she is not teaching, Gina enjoys surfing in Mexico and developing her own growth mindset. She currently resides in Western Massachusetts with her husband, two young children, and two old cats.
