Join us on Wednesday, August 21 at 6:30pm for Milk Matters, a presentation of dairy farms, food, and all things bovine with Lucille Benoit, author of Come, Bos, and Denise Barstow of Barstow Dairy.

Journalist and dairymaid Lucille Benoit speaks about the current crisis for small dairy farms and the importance of public awareness, consumer knowledge and constructive debate for the survival of dairy farms, cows and sustainable local food production.

About the Presenter

Lucille Benoit is the author of the novel, Come, Bos, the story of one small farm’s struggle to survive. Joining her for the presentation is Denise Barstow, Marketing and Education Manager and a seventh generation dairy farmer at Barstow's Longview Farm in Hadley, MA speaking on the farm’s motto "Looking Forward Since 1806". The family is constantly striving to offer the best care for their herd and land, serve their community, and preserve their innovative, sustainable dairy farm for generations to come.
